Coding

• The code for the site will be created in Notepad, Sothink and/or Dreamweaver.
• All HTML tags and attributes will be expressed in lower case.
• All file names will be expressed in lowercase utilizing the underscore or dash when needed in lieu of spaces between words. (i.e: btn_apply.gif=button apply - a gif file)
• The ALT tag will be used on all images.
• Comments will be included in the coding, when needed, to assist in future updating of the site.

• Stylesheets will be used for visual presentation of the site.
• All HTML code files will be saved as .html.
• All of the site's folders will be housed within a root folder titled "aclu".
• All folder names will be expressed in lower case with no spaces or extensions.

The folders of the site will be laid out as follows:

• aclu – Root Folder with HTML pages along with subsequent folders.
• images – All graphic files used for the design of the site will be in the images file.
• forms – This folder will contain the cgi and perl scripts for the forms.
