communication

The Sonoma County American Civil Liberties Union works to protect the civil liberties, civil rights and freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. The primary goal of this site is to communicate more effectively with their members and get them more involved.

The target audience will be all citizens concerned with personal rights. They are various ages and from various income levels. This site should be visually appealing to attract the general public. The client requested a United States flag somewhere in the site but didn’t want a red, white and blue site.

The home page has a white background, a logo across the top and eight buttons along the left side. A rollover will change the color of the button from maroon (#830202) to gold (#EEAF05). The left side (ALERTS) will be html for easy updates by client. There are five photos on the first page.

The second and third level pages also have a white background and will have a smaller version of the logo across the top and buttons down the right side. There will be third level links across the bottom of the logo strip towards the right side. Two of the photos from the first page are in the logo strip on all second and third pages. The button on the page you are on is gold (#EEAF05) instead of maroon (#830202).
