The Sonoma County ACLU has been working since the 1950's to protect and promote civil liberties in our communities, in our state and in our country. We are a volunteer organization with over 1,500 households as members throughout all parts of Sonoma County. We have a Board of Directors which meets monthly at the Peace and Justice Center, 467 Sebastopol Avenue in Santa Rosa (off Santa Rosa Avenue near Julliard Park). Meetings are open to all, and are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. We advocate for civil liberties in city councils, boards of education, and other public forums. Our newsletter is published three or four times per year. We do not have attorneys who can represent you, but we would like to hear about your civil liberties concerns. You can reach us by calling our message telephone (707) 765-5005, by writing to us at P.O. Box 14181, Santa Rosa, CA 95402 or by sending us an e-mail.

Our areas of special concern include:

If you're not already a member, please consider joining the 1,500 households in Sonoma County who are members of the ACLU. Joining is easy. You can join by printing and completing a printable registration form and mail it to us. It's that simple.

The Sonoma County ACLU Board is in the process of setting up a "listserv" for ACLU members who would like to be kept informed about activities of the chapter, and who would like to participate in ongoing civil liberties discussions online. If you would like to participate in the Sonoma ACLU listserv, and you are a chapter member please send us an email and request to be added.
