The Sonoma County Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union has been working for close to 50 years to protect the civil liberties, civil rights and freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights. We are affiliated with the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California, which was founded in 1934 during the San Francisco General Strike, and with the national American Civil Liberties Union which has been advocating for civil liberties for all people throughout the USA since 1922.
